Credential issued
Candidates enrolled in any state-approved educator preparation provider program, including those within an AROI, are eligible to earn an Initial three-year, non-renewable teacher credential. Upon completing all requirements of the state approved program, including state licensure exams, completers are eligible to upgrade to a Standard 4-year renewable teacher credential.
Clinical experience
Candidates participating in approved educator preparation programs within an AROI are required, as a part of their curriculum, to undergo intensive and extensive supervised clinical field experiences. The positioning within the program, duration, and weight of these clinical field experiences vary from program to program. Specific requirements, with regard to the goals and objectives of field work, are delineated in the overall standards which govern state EPP and program approval.
